it's always nice getting packages in the mail

I love getting packages in the mail.  In fact, I love it so much, that usually, I end up ordering things online, just so I can anticipate its arrival.  Well, this past week I received a package from my mom.  Most of its contents were for the husband, since his birthday is in a couple of days - but there were a few goodies in there for the both of us.  The best being the handmade afghan my mother made us.  The love is evident, in every beautiful square.

Also, yes that is The Atonement I'm reading.  It's for class.  Anyone read it?  Unfortunately I keep seeing Kiera Knightly pouting through the pages, but other than that, it is quite a good read.
