wish list: great gatsby sweater
I really love this Great Gatsby sweatshirt by Out of Print Clothing. Possibly with a collared shirt underneath, it would make a great every day outfit. Hopefully the company adds more awesome book designs to their clothing collection! They already have a good amount so far. I think this particular sweatshirt is going to have to go onto my birthday wish list!

adeline adeline bicycle shop
Came across the wonderful bicycle shop, Adeline Adeline on Pinterest. I love all the accessories out there for bicycles. I hope to stir up more courage and go bicycling more out on the road. Between the husband and I we only have one helmet. One day I'm going to get a good looking helmet such as one of these ones. Just take a look at all these goods!

it's raining outside
The weather has been lingering in that 40-50 degree rainy and windy season and I'm just about sick of it. However, if I had an umbrella like this, perhaps I wouldn't complain as much. Super awesome, Brelli umbrellas look like the pretty Asian paper parasols but have useful features such as UV protection, biodegradability, wind protection, and transparency. My favorite is the standard clear variety, but I'm starting to like the grey as well. Putting it on the wish list.

springs florals from zara
I've been wanting some printed tops and blouses lately, as I've noticed everything I own tends to be solid colored. Spring's floral prints this year really have been amazing, and I have been finding way too many options I want. So far, most of them have been coming from Zara. Oh, if only I had an endless supply of money and closet space...

sunglasses roundup
I never really cared about sunglasses, but after figuring that I needed some, I bought 2 pairs last summer that I really loved. One from H&M, one from Free People and they were both different enough to be enjoyed at lots of occasions. Well, several months later, I've broken the H&M ones and lost the other. So I am back to square one. However, not realizing how many awesome sunglasses there are right now (both cheap and expensive) I'm glad I get the opportunity to shop around. Here are some of my favorites, at ALL price ranges.
What's awesome about the pastel, color candied sunglasses from Free People (the centered ones) is that you can fold them up!

it might be too early for this: leather sandals
Once there is any hint of spring in Montreal, I tend to get a little too excited. Don't get me wrong, I actually LOVE snow, and I don't mind months of it. However, once it gets into the 30s in March, the snow turns slushy and the mixture of snow/rain makes rain boots a definite necessity. I told myself, the day I don't have to wear my down jacket, would be a very, very happy day. Well today was that day! It was in the mid 40s and I was able to get away with some jeans, regular shoes, and a light jacket. Amazing! I got so excited, I started shopping for some brown leather sandals. I have been very picky over the years, and have been searching for a good pair of brown leather sandals. Anyone have any suggestions? These are my favorites right now, I know, so much for selection...

the return of weekly wishlists
So usually when I get in the mood to buy things, I have to create these wishlists to tell my brain that I'm "doing something" about the stuff that I want. So rather than buying, I come up with weekly wish lists. I did this for awhile, but then I actually started school and jobs so I had my mind occupied. Well I've got a few more weeks without occupation meaning a few more wishlists coming this way!

- I've been wanting a Chemex coffee maker for a long time now, and I'm hoping one of these days I'll just go for it and buy one.
- J.Crew started carrying The Dodo Case for the iPad 2. I wish they were cheaper than $60-80 but I might just have to save up and invest.
- Madewell is pretty awesome sometimes. At first it didn't seem like there was a whole lot they offered, but after finding a pair of high-waisted wideleg pants that I've been searching for a long time now, I'm pretty excited.
- J.Crew coral lipstick. It's the same lipstick color you see on all those J.Crew ads. I'll take it!
- And finally, Broadcast News. Have you seen this movie? I love it! Holly Hunter is incredible in it, and if they make a reference of it in Gilmore Girls you know it's probably pretty good.

the folio society and too many birthday wishes
I am terribly "wish-list obsessed" when it comes to birthdays, Christmas gifts, anything where I may get a present. I usually find one gift I absolutely have to have, but then, find dozens of other gifts I "have to have" as well.... it's awful... This year, I knew I had to have the iPad 2, and that is still #1 on my list, but after going through The Folio Society's catalog, I can't help but want a membership for their beautiful books as well. If you haven't seen them, look! If you aren't a member, but love to read, you should join. Here are just some of the books I am wanting to buy for myself!

a modern place for your cat
These cat beds from Likekittysville, are amazing, and I would say totally worth it for someone who has $80 lying around. I think this would make a great piece to your home, and it's a great bed for your cat! I hope one of these days I can get this bed for my cat, especially since she tends to find some weird places to sleep. Like a fruit basket. And no.. she doesn't fit in it to well. Poor Weasley, if only I could afford this bed for you!

pretty books
This week I received a wonderful, out-of-the-blue gift from my awesome brother-in-law. I received this 2-works copy of Virginia Woolf's Mrs. Dalloway & A Room of One's Own.
Another set of beautiful books I've been dying to get is from one of my favorite authors, F. Scott Fitzgerald. Penguin UK sure knows how to do it. I love these shiny editions more than anything.
